Farewell for retired Ehlanzeni district manager after 44 years service

During a recent farewell for the district manager of Ehlanzeni, the Department of Health celebrated his 44 years of service.

David Mdluli recently retired and the department held an event in his honour.

The DoH spokesperson, Dumisani Malamule, said Mdluli has served with unwavering commitment and professionalism for more than four decades.

His passion for public health has left a lasting legacy across the province.

“Under his leadership, the Ehlanzeni District has made significant strides in health system performance, with marked improvements in health outcomes, service delivery and governance. His ability to lead with both vision and heart earned him the deep respect of colleagues, communities and stakeholders on all levels.”

“Mdluli exemplifies the values of ethical leadership, accountability and emotional intelligence. His ability to lead with empathy and integrity has not only driven operational success, but also inspired a generation of health professionals,” said the head of department, Dr Lucas Ndhlovu.
