Municipality plans to uplift and develop Matsafeni

The City of Mbombela's spokesperson has confirmed that some developments for the area have been included in the next financial year.

Matsafeni is one of the City of Mbombela’s fastest-growing informal settlements, but with little or no infrastructure development in the area.

Some community members live without electricity, the roads are dilapidated and the small to medium scale flooding due to the recent storms have not drained properly.

Mpumalanga News approached the City of Mbombela’s spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, regarding the issues facing the community members in this informal settlement.
