Comprehensive health awareness campaign in Msholozi aims to leave no one behind

The Department of Health and the Rotary Club of White River provided a range of services for the community members who attended an initiative for everyone's benefit.

The Ehlanzeni District Department of Health, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of White River, recently conducted a comprehensive health awareness campaign on Boschrand Primary School’s playground in Msholozi.

The aim of the campaign, held under the theme ‘Leave no one behind’, was to reach out and provide healthcare services to community members. The residents came out in their numbers to support this initiative.

The campaign put an emphasis on World TB Day’s build-up activities and the Rotary Club’s Family Health Day.
According to the department, the campaign is part of the programme launched by the MEC of health, Sasekani Manzini.

The department said that the community members present on the day had received a full range of healthcare services ranging from TB screening, testing for sexually transmitted diseases, cervical cancer screening, chest X-rays, mental health screening, Covid-19 vaccinations, distribution of condoms, family planning, eye care, HIV testing, health promotion, education, rehabilitation, psychosocial support and human rights focusing on gender-based violence.
