Nelspruit Lighthouse Church celebrates mothers on special day

Nelspruit Lighthouse Church member, Vuyuswa Mokoena said the celebration made them feel special.

As a way to honour mothers on Mother’s Day and to mark this occasion, the Nelspruit Lighthouse Church held an event on Sunday May 14 under the theme “We acknowledge, celebrate, honour and love you, mothers”.

During the celebration, all the mothers were served a special treat after church. Remember Mogane, a member of the church, said they wanted to celebrate mother on their special day.

“We want them to feel loved, so we decided to do something for them.”
Vuyuswa Mokoena, one of these mothers, said they appreciated everything that was done for them.
“It was an honour to be celebrated, it was a great celebration and they made us feel special,” she said.

 

“The sermon delivered was also great; we got to learn about the roles one can play. It was about the two Deborahs; one was a leader and the other one was serving in the church. This reminded me that as a woman, I can be both and still make an impact.”
