Lowveld Walkers introduce new routes to promote a healthy style

Joseph Mashaba, the founder of Lowveld Walkers, said they will keep introducing new routes and events.

The Lowveld Walkers recently introduced new routes to tackle. This organisation is making it its mission to get the people in the Lowveld fit. According to Joseph Mashaba, the founder of Lowveld Walkers, they want to keep introducing healthy lifestyle walks and events.

He said the most recent walk was extra special because they also celebrated the 70th birthday of Gogo Fatima Mkhomazi.
“The new route is the Hilltop road from Barberton Nature Reserve. Our plan was to communicate with the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency so that we can join forces and promote the tourism industry, which we have managed to achieve.”

Mashaba said they are having a boot camp on July 29.
“We will be walking to honour Madiba and raising awareness against gender-based violence. God’s Window has given us permission to enter for free. This will be a great event as we have fun-filled programme. We will have soccer games for male and females, aerobics, rock climbing and netball.”

He said he wants to urge the public to join them. “The event will be held in Graskop and the participants must know that our events are free.”
Those who would like to join the walkers can visit Lowveld Walkers on Facebook or contact Mashaba on 076 444 2343.
