Upcoming muso hits Nkomazi with new music

Senzo Nsingwane wants live up to his calling as a healer through music. He tells us more.

The singer and songwriter, Senzo Nsingwane (26), known as ‘Casio Wrld’, released an Afro-pop song titled “Umhobholo” on September 22, which he believes is a smash hit.

Nsingwane said the song is about fathers who do not want support or pay maintenance for their children. It feature local artists Langaman and Tuddy Beats. The song is followed by his debut EP, titled Sabela. The EP, with eight songs, was released on Friday September 30.

“The EP is a mixture of genres, just to showcase my versatility and creativity as a young musician. The songs contain encouragement to yield to the callings in our lives. The same message goes to me, because I am on a journey of accepting my spiritual calling from madloti [‘the ancestors’] to be a prophet and healer.”

Nsingwane said he started making music in 2011, hip-hop.

“I used to spit bars with a fast pace and close people compared me to a calculator with the speed with which I provided answers. They nicknamed me after a Casio calculator. I then ventured into Afro-pop music when I received a lot of compliments for my singing.”

He released his first song in 2016, titled “Inhlitiyo”, which is about a man who gets cheated and is left heartbroken.

In 2022, he dropped another single, “Mistakes”, which received much love from his community, Mgobodzi.

“This song encouraged me to not give up on my music, and that I will achieve my dreams.”

Nsingwane said he wishes to inspire other musicians through his music and help them accept their callings, hopefully to help other people.
