Steiltes Mbombela CBD to be brought back online as fires are being fought

Steiltes and the CBD’s power networks are to be brought back online as soon as the fire is contained. Nelsriver and surrounding areas have also lost power.

According to the City of Mbombela, some firefighters are currently trying to contain the fire, after which the power lines feeding Steiltes and the CBD will be brought back online.

A separate Eskom pylon has also collapsed and is causing power outages in the Nelsriver substation.

This area will be off for the remainder of the day while Eskom works to restore the power.
