Premier visits Bushbuckridge hospitals to monitor operations
The premier said he plans to embark on more surprise visits to other hospitals in an effort to improve service delivery.
Premier Mandla Ndlovu kicked off the new year by paying a surprise visit to two hospitals in Bushbuckridge to monitor their operations on January 1.
He visited Mapuleng and Tintswalo and interacted with the patients, and afterwards expressed his satisfaction with the two hospitals.
“I am happy because there were no long queues, as nurses were helping the patients. Most patients I spoke to at both hospitals said they were being attended to and the waiting period was reasonable,” he said.

However, Ndlovu expressed his concerns about the dispensaries at these hospitals, saying they were not fully functional. He added that the issue requires special attention. “I will engage with the MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, to ensure that this matter is attended to, even on public holidays,” Ndlovu said.
He plans to embark on similar surprise visits to various hospitals across the province, as he says these will help government to improve service delivery to communities.
