In total, nearly 451 households across Mpumalanga will receive social relief of distress from the DSD in partnership with the Vodacom Foundation, covering the Chief Albert Luthuli, Govan Mbeki, Lekwa, Pixley Ka Seme and Msukaligwa local municipalities.

The most vulnerable members of the community, including children, the elderly and individuals with special needs were prioritised during the distribution. To ensure a fair and efficient process, parcels were distributed at strategically selected centres within the affected areas, supported by trained volunteers and local authorities.

Manzini thanked Vodacom for its support. She was accompanied by Mkhondo’s executive mayor, Cllr Ngelosi Ndlovu, and Vodacom Mpumalanga’s executive manager, Monde Ngcukana.
