UPDATE | Mbombela CBD’s power restored
The power outage was due to a faulty cable at the Anderson Substation.
The City of Mbombela’s workmen at the Anderson Substation have restored the power after an outage was experienced from Sunday, May 4, at 20:35, until midnight on Tuesday, May 6, due to a cable fault.

The City of Mbombela’s spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, said the technicians were able to begin switching on at midnight.
Ngala said residents should report any individual power issues to the municipality’s call centre.
