WATCH: Mpumalanga Nursing College students demand better studying environment
The Mpumalanga College of Nursing’s students have demanded a number of challenges they face be addressed.

Students at the Mpumalanga College of Nursing in KaBokweni have brought campus operations to a standstill, protesting about a range of challenges that have plagued the institution.
They blockaded the entrance of the institution with burning tyres and rocks this morning, May 7.
The protesters claim that the Students Representative Council (SRC) has exhausted all internal avenues to engage on these issues, leaving them with no choice but to embark on a total shutdown.

• Access to essential study resources, including textbooks, Wi-Fi, projectors and other gadgets. They claim that 2024 and 2025 students are still without these.
• Comprehensive renovation of the infrastructure, citing a shortage of classrooms and dilapidated student residences.
• Students that enrolled this year have not received their stipend for April.
• Management to not disregard the SRC’s submission of important issues.
