Mona, from Shabalala near Hazyiew, said his friend had passed out on the ground when the show ended around 06:00 on Sunday.
“People were stepping on him as they walked out, and I had to come up with a plan because I couldn’t leave him there. I carried him from the stage area to our taxi, which was parked at the soccer field outside the stadium,” Mona said.

Viewers of the video quickly dubbed Mona’s act of service ‘Hector Pieterson we Summer Blaze,’ comparing it to the iconic photograph of 12-year-old Hector Pieterson being carried by a fellow student after he was fatally shot during the Soweto Uprising on June 16, 1976.
For showing true friendship by not leaving his friend behind, social media users have rallied to give him money as a token of appreciation. He said he plans to use the funds to further his education and pursue a career as an entrepreneur.
