President Cyril Ramaphosa visited several areas in the Nkomazi Local Municipality affected by the floods on Monday, January 19, to assess the damage and ongoing relief efforts.

The visit comes after the severe weather was declared a national state of disaster, resulting in loss of life and extensive damage across the region.

He was accompanied by Mpumalanga Premier Mandla Ndlovu and members of the executive council.
