Barberton Mines donates security fencing and water tank in Matsulu
The handover at Luncedvo Community Service Centre aims to boost security and ensure a reliable water supply for vulnerable residents.
Barberton Mines donated fencing material and a JoJo water-storage tank to the Luncedvo Community Service Centre on July 10, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and community development. The handover took place at the centre in Matsulu.
Support for vulnerable residents
Luncedvo Community Service Centre is a non-profit organisation that provides care and support to elderly people and persons living with disabilities. The centre offers programmes such as physical exercise sessions, counselling and shared breakfast meals to promote healthy living, social interaction and the overall well-being of its beneficiaries.

The donation is expected to enhance the centre’s facilities. The fencing material will improve security, while the JoJo water-storage tank will provide a reliable supply of water for the centre’s daily operations and programmes.

Chairperson expresses gratitude
The chairperson of the centre, Paulina Mamba, expressed her gratitude to Barberton Mines for its support.

“This donation will make a big difference at our centre. The water tank will help us store clean water for our daily activities, and the fencing will improve security. We thank Barberton Mines for supporting our work and helping us care for people in need,” said Mamba.
Barberton Mines emphasised that the donation forms part of its ongoing efforts to support initiatives that improve people’s quality of life and contribute to stronger, more resilient communities.
