Drowned teenage boy to be buried this weekend
The death of Troy, a grade seven learner from Chweni Primary, leaves his family devastated.
The 13 year-old boy who drowned in one of the two dams in Malekutu will be buried in Chweni this weekend.

He lost his biological mum and grandmother between 2014 and 2017. His funeral will take place on Saturday from 08:00.
Representatives from the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs paid homage to the grieving family and inspected the scene. They promised to involve traditional leaders and government in finding a solution to the unprotected dams, which pose a danger to both humans and animals.
