Hiking is good for body, soul and mind, as local ladies get motivated

A soul therapy hike for women turned into an adventure a group of ladies will not soon forget.

On Saturday August 21, the ladies went for a 12-kilometre hike on Coromandel Estate. The organiser, Dudu Mnguni, hosted this event for Women’s Month.

“Taking women out of the usual environment out on a hike takes their minds away from their everyday problems. It gave me the opportunity to inspire and teach them to support one another and be there for each other as women. During this long and difficult hike it is important to reach out and accept the support from your friends,” said Mnguni.

Naranja Citrus, Pick n Pay Lydenburg, Ranga-tanga Fruit & Veg, and the wood vendors at the Spar-o-Rama corner in Voortrekker Street sponsored the placards, and Tsepo Media the event.

Tune into Mnguni’s programme on Mash FM every Thursday morning at 11:00 for motivational speeches.
