WATCH: Line dancing is fun for all

ROOSEVELT PARK – The Northcliff Melville Times team had some fun as they learnt to line dance with the Rainbow Line Dancers.

The Northcliff Melville Times team was invited to brush-up on some line dancing techniques with Rainbow Line Dancers at the Roosevelt Park Bowling Club on 30 August.

Owner of Rainbow Line Dancers, Leon Nel said, “Line dancing is very good for mental health because it involves both physical exercise and engaging the brain. It also has been shown to delay Alzheimer’s disease.”

Rainbow Line Dancers offers lessons at the Roosevelt Park and Blairgowrie bowling clubs and encourages young and old from various backgrounds to take part in this fun and energising pastime.

“As long as you can walk and put one foot in front of the other, then you will be fine. People start from the age of four and five, but we have even people starting to learn from age 85,” Nel said.
