Award for excellent service

The Greymont Residents Forum awarded the Pikitup Waterval Depot with a service excellence award on 24 June.

The dedicated and helpful staff at the depot have displayed ongoing service to the forum and have gone above and beyond the call of duty in assisting the Greymont community.

Greymont Residents Forum chairperson Clive Malherbe said, “The depot is always willing to meet with us and they provided skips, bags and gloves on many occasions when we have had clean-up campaigns.

“They always encourage the community to recycle and have erected five no dumping signs in the area.”

Malherbe added that when dealing with employees they are always friendly and their communication with the community is always professional and efficient. “These are just a few outstanding qualities the employees at the depot exhibit. It is with great pleasure and honour that we hand over this award,” said Malherbe.

Pikitup regional manager Rochelle Ludick received the award on behalf of the depot and said, “Our main aim is to encourage residents to become involved and take ownership of their area. We will meet the community half way and pitch in. Thank you to the forum for the award.”
