Pet expo promises to please

All creatures great and small at WODAC.

From show cats, pedigree dogs and exotic reptiles to rodents, the World of Dogs and Cats (WODAC) pet expo has something for everyone.

The expo will take place from 19 to 21 July at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The expo has been described as a magical gateway to discovering the joys, responsibilities and rewards of pet ownership. On 10 July WODAC hosted a preview event at Marks Park where local media got a sneak peek of what can be expected.

The preview event hosted several dog breeds, ponies, pedigree rats, show cats, creepy crawlies, hedgehogs and reptiles. A dog show by Ronnie Magic and her Wag Team kept the crowd entertained. During the expo visitors can expect to be amazed by shows like the Dogs of the World Parade, CanineSurvivor, 60-Weaving Polie Challenge, Dancing with Dogs SA Champs, pet fashion shows and much more.

WODAC representative Leigh Angelo said, “The aim of the show is to educate people about the different breeds of animals and how to take care of them.

“We have a variety of pet experts to answer any questions and we hope everyone who attends the expo will have fun and learn something.”

WODAC will be open from 9am to 6pm daily and promises something for everyone. Tickets are available at the door or through Computicket.
