Pupils of Salvazione School in Brixton worked very had throughout the year under the guidance of Grade 1 teacher Fezeka Tabata, to bring a scintillating performance of Shaka Zulu to the stage.
The costumes were made by parents, learners and staff members, while the magnificent backdrop was painted by well known artist Sue Antonie with the help of volunteers.
Zion Ndlovu, a highly regarded Johannesburg flautist contributed his time and talent to the musical score of the play and gave a cameo performance.
Mandy Bailey, the headmistress, was in awe of the hidden talent discovered among the young learners.
