UJ applicants will know their fate
JOBURG - UJ applicants will be sent a text to confirm their application status by Friday.
Applicants to University of Johannesburg (UJ) applicants who haven’t received an SMS confirming their final application status by 10 January should contact the university for verification.
UJ will review the status of all applicants based on the applicants’ final Grade 12 results from 7 to 9 January 2014 during which all applicants will receive an SMS stipulating whether their application was successful or not.
“UJ does not accommodate any late applicants on campus,” the statement read.
“All enquiries regarding late applications, space availability or the change from one programme to another will be dealt with off-campus via a virtual UJ Mobi enquiry system or the UJ Call Centre. The Mobi system is available from 10 to 15 January, subject to volume of enquiries.”
Nearly 75 000 applicants applied at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) for approximately 10 500 first-year undergraduate spaces for enrollment in 2014.
This number of spaces available is in accordance with the formal Enrolment Plan approved by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Successful applicants can access information pertaining to the Registration process and schedule as well as the First Year Experience on the UJ website.
