Think pink to celebrate women
EMMARENTIA - Totalsports ladies will be supporting PinkDrive on women's day.

Whether you enjoy running or just walking, the Totalsports Ladies will be gearing up to celebrate National Women’s Day at Roosevelt High School in Roosevelt Park on 9 August.
Totalsports Ladies aim to support PinkDrive, which is a campaign that is committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, providing and offering services to women across the country.
Last year, the walk drew men, women and children to get dressed in pink and take part in the fun of the day – this year, Roosevelt High will come alive when women of all ages raise the pink flag for breast cancer while keeping healthy.
According to Michael Meyer, Stillwater Sport and Entertainment, the Totalsports Ladies Race is ideal for everyone who is keen on having fun on the day.
Meyer mentioned that there are two distances to choose from, a 5km run/ fun walk and a 10km run/fun walk and encourages men to join forces by joining the race. He also adds that “the Totalsports Ladies Race is ideal for the whole family, from mothers with prams, children, husbands, family and friends that are keen on raising breast cancer awareness and to celebrate women.”
Noelene Kotschan, founder and CEO of PinkDrive also explained that PinkDrive is grateful to the Totalsports Ladies Race for having made them the official beneficiary of all three events: Johannesburg, Stellenbosch and Durban.”
“Public-private partnerships are vital to the overall success of our ambitious dreams of ultimately creating a fully-fledged women’s health service offering,”adds Kotschan.
