Excitement mounted as Mr Book and actresss Hlubi Mboya came to read books with the children.

According to Read Educational Trust’s media statement, “The pop-up libraries are a brilliant innovation aimed at introducing people, especially children, to the

joy of reading.”

There was an unparalleled pleasure among the children when participants were given books to take home to read.

“These pop-up libraries promote the importance of reading, increase the availability of books, and grow literacy in South Africa.”

In a time where controversy and mayhem abound, Read Educational Trust has its priorities right and focuses on literacy.
