FAIRLAND – Local resident, Martin Kwadi recently won himself a Hyundai i10 from the Spar Win-a-Car competition.
Local resident Martin Kwadi’s is back in the driver’s seat.
Just last year, the Fairland resident’s car was written off – leaving him and his family stranded.
However, Kwadi took a leap of faith and entered for the Spar Win-a-Car competition – which was giving away hundred special edition Hyundai i10s.
“I couldn’t believe it when they called me and told me that I have won a car,” said the visibly excited Kwadi.
“Words cannot express how I feel, I lost my car in December, it was written off, and today I am really happy that I finally received this gift,” Kwadi said.
Kwadi went to the Kwikspar in Fairland to collect his car with his family on 30 May.
“My wife didn’t know about this, I wanted it to be a surprise, and now she can use it for our kids,” he said.
Owner of the Kwikspar Erkan Dursun said he was delighted that the car was won by a local resident.
“I am really happy for him, he lives in the area, and he is always buying in the store, and he really deserves the gift,” Dursun said.
