Aasvoëlkop washes cars for charity
NORTHCLIFF – Children of Dutch Reformed Church Aasvoëlkop help the Tshepo Community Initiative.
The Dutch Reformed Church Aasvoëlkop in Northcliff recently washed cars to raise funds and awareness for the Tshepo Community Development Initiative. “It was such a privilege to help at Tshepo Community Initiative’s car wash business,” said Reverend Tarine de Ridder.
“Tshepo has done a wonderful work in job creation and uplifting the community. They also have a vegetable garden and sell wood and other garden beautification. Furthermore, they have an aftercare facility which enables them to be involved in the community.”
Rev de Ridder added that the youth of Aasvoëlkop spent a couple of hours washing cars at the initiative one Saturday morning, to encourage the men working there and show them support. Rev De Ridder encouraged residents to wash their cars at the car wash on the corner of Pendoring and Weltevreden roads, Northcliff.
