AUCKLAND PARK – In the early hours of 7 February, a community member was shot, stabbed and robbed by intruders.
Spokesperson for Brixton Police Station, Jeanette Backhoff, said the victim woke up with a start and noticed a man standing next to his bed, pointing a gun at him.
“The victim [was ordered to go] with the suspect to the passage where two other armed suspects waited for them.”
The complainant was shot three times in the hip, thigh and leg, and was also stabbed in the right arm with a knife.
“The suspects fled the scene when the victim’s brother shot at them.”
The suspects were said to have gained entry through the kitchen window.
Backhoff said the victim was taken to Milpark Hospital where he is in a stable condition.
