A security company’s prompt response leads to Northcliff arrests

NORTHCLIFF – The Sophiatown police successfully arrested suspects in the middle of a house robbery.

Three suspects were caught trying to flee the scene of a crime by a security company.

Sophiatown spokesperson Warrant Officer TJ de Bruyn said Beagle Watch’s quick response to a signal in Northcliff led to the arrest of three suspects who were caught attempting to flee the scene of a house robbery.

“The domestic worker at home was found tied up inside the house. Our investigations division, in conjunction with the police, has linked these three suspects to a number of house robberies and attempts in various suburbs,” alleged De Bruyn.

“Residents are urged not open their gates to people posing as repairmen or other service providers if they are in the least bit unsure.”

The police congratulated everyone involved in making this arrest possible.
