Metrobus opens a sales outlet at Braamfontein
BRAAMFONTEIN – Metrobus will continue to respond to the needs of the people with the Randburg sales outlet opening soon.
Today, the Johannesburg Metro Bus opened three more sales outlets, one of them being at the Thuso House in Braamfontein.
In a statement released by Goodwill Shivuri from the communications office of Metrobus, these additional outlets will help reduce long queues at Gandhi square. Shivuri said that part of mayoral priority is to run a pro-poor government by taking basic services closer to where people live, work and play.
“Metrobus’ vision is to increase passenger accessibility to public transport by ensuring that all seven regions in the city have sales outlets, where passengers can buy and load tags,” said Transport MMC, Nonhlanhla Makhuba.
Makhuba also added, “As we celebrate transport month this October, we take pride in opening more of these centres, which will help improve the use of public transport in and around the city, to reduce traffic congestions on the roads.”
Shivuri noted that these efforts are geared at accelerating service delivery with pride in public transportation, “Metrobus serves over 11 million annually with the bulk coming from the outlying areas of the city.”
“Metrobus will continue to respond to the needs of the people with the Randburg sales outlet opening soon,” concluded Shivuri.
