Donations pour in for Fairland amputee motorcyclist

FAIRLAND – Amputee motorcyclist is making a good recovery.

Security company and residents partner to donate items to motorcyclist that lost his foot in an accident.

The community of Fairland and surrounding areas recently joined forces to assist the e-Commerce delivery motorcyclist, Reign Sibanda, after he was involved in an accident while making deliveries. Beagle Watch Armed Response jumped in to help and called on their network of residents and businesses to collect and donate items that Sibanda and his family would need after his incident.

Sibanda was invited to Beagle Watch’s offices in Fairland on July 29 to collect the items and was overjoyed, yet humbled by the efforts of the community. He said, “I am extremely grateful for this as I did not know how I could support my family as I continue my recovery. Thank you to everyone who was involved.”
He added that he recently went for a check-up on his progress and was told all is well so far and he is preparing himself to bounce back as soon as he can.

According to Andre Aiton, managing director Beagle Watch, the donations were made by themselves and residents in the community and comprised of food, toiletries, baby products and cash.
Aiton explained, “We were contacted by the Fairland Community Policing Forum to find out if we could assist Sibanda and his family of nine after he lost his foot after having been hit by a car in the Fairland area. We decided that collecting such items would best help him and his family while they figure out a way to recovery from this.”

The company reached out to the community, and within no time goods were being dropped off at their offices. Aiton was pleased to see that Sibanda was still upbeat and positive and encouraged him to keep that mindset and keep his head up during these trying times. Beagle Watched thanked all those that collaborated with them to put a smile on the face Sibanda.
