Healthy relationships at King David Victory Park

VICTORY PARK – The school held a workshop for their Grade 9 class that centred around relationships.

King David Victory Park held a workshop focused on teaching its learners how to build good relationships.

The school counsellor, Gita Lipschitz said the Grade 9 class took part in the Healthy Relationship Workshop which was facilitated by Solid Ground. The day’s facilitator is described as an organisation that provides dynamic and holistic services which they do through mediation, training, youth talks and wellness which is all led by professionals. On the day, psychologist Claudia Abelheim organised the activities.

Lipschitz said the activities were creative and allowed for thought-provoking discussions to help learners understand the difference between the attraction (what they see), infatuation (what they feel), love (what they know), along with consent and assertiveness to help guide them in making good choices in their journey through adolescence.
