A bold celebration of heritage
CORONATIONVILLE – Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital celebrated heritage day through various fun activities for their staff.
Staff at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child hospital commemorated Heritage Day.
The hospital hosted an event where different cultural groups came together, unified and unique in their heritage and contributed to the history of South Africa.

According to the hospital’s communications officer, Makhosazana Tsibu, during the event diverse cultures performed their traditional dances and different traditional foods were prepared and judged during a competition.
Dr Criselda Kananda was one of the judges and a guest speaker who encouraged everyone to continue living their heritage as it played a huge role in promoting cultural diversity, social cohesion and reconciliation.

In the performances, the Ndebele tribe took first prize, second place went to the Batswana group and third to the Xhosa group. All cultural groups were applauded for taking part in the competition and everyone was delighted to be part of the celebration.
