2022 was a bumper year for the paper
Improved quality of content and more in-depth reporting saw the publication soar when compared to previous years.
The Northcliff Melville Times newspaper had a bumper year in 2022. The quality of our journalism reached new heights with more in-depth reporting and follow-ups which keep our communities abreast of ongoing issues. This was all shown by the growing interaction with our website which has seen steady growth, especially in the last six months of the year.
Our editor, Aimee McGill picked up several awards at the Forum for Community Journalists annual prizegiving where community papers from across the country from Caxton and independent outlets compete. She picked up awards for two other papers under her leadership namely the Randburg Sun, which came third in the Best Free Community Newspaper category, and first in the Best Community Project category, as well as Fourways Reveiw which won overall best free paper.
Northcliff Melville Times placed forth in the Best Community Newspaper category. We look forward to entering the Northcliff Melville Times this year and hope to see the improvement in our work reflected at the 2023 event.

- Print remains a powerful advertising medium, capable of cutting through the digital noise.
- Print is consumed intentionally, making adverts in print up to four times more impactful and up to two times more effective than social media ads*.
