SCP Security looks forward to another year of serving the community by reducing crime and keeping residents safe

When private security companies and the police work together, neighbourhoods are safer for all says Clive Maher.

SCP Security’s Clive Maher hopes that the new year will build on the successes of 2022 in the security sector.

“The beginning of the year is a time that is filled with opportunities for introspection and self-improvement. But more importantly, it is a time when we can all reflect on ways to keep ourselves and the people we care about healthy, happy, and safe,” he said.

“I invite everyone to use our free Self-Risk Impact Assessment tool on our website, regardless of whether you are with us or another security company.” This tool, he said, would enable residents to identify gaps in their security which could be improved a little bit at a time until their homes and businesses were secure. “Already, this year is shaping up to deliver a plethora of innovative technologies and breakthroughs in the field of safety and security. In the coming weeks, we will once again begin disseminating helpful information, valuable tips, and news regarding how each of us can participate in the fight against crime in our respective communities to ensure we keep the edge on criminal activity.”

He also expressed his gratitude for the collaborative relationships with members of the police. “Nobody can successfully combat criminal activity alone and our close relationships with members of SAPS is one we guard and treasure. We know 2023 will continue in this vein and we are willing and able to do all we can to bring criminals to book.”

Fighting crime is at the core of their work, but Maher reiterated his commitment to working with local community organisations as they carried out their important work. “Community volunteers and organisations are vital to the health of our neighbourhoods, whether it’s helping the vulnerable or protecting our open green spaces. I look forward to new collaborations and exciting projects in this regard that will be launched soon.”

He expressed his gratitude to his members and residents for their support, “On behalf of everyone here at SCP Security, I would like to reaffirm our unwavering dedication to maintaining the safety of our communities. I am extremely honoured to be in the privileged position of leading SCP Security in this crucial work and in carrying on SCP Security’s outstanding work, and I do so with a great deal of pride.

“I looking forward to yet another wonderful year and want to wish you and your loved ones all the best for a joyful, healthy, and secure 2023.”
