Linden Cycles brings the community together by cycling

Riding and networking with your community is easy for cycling enthusiasts in and around Linden.

Every Friday afternoon, Linden Cycles hosts a cycling spruit ride.

The event began three weeks ago to provide an opportunity for new riders to join a group and explore Johannesburg`s beautiful scenery.

Jarrco Houghton, from Linden Cycles, said, “The spruit ride is a great way for cycling enthusiasts to network, make new friends, and share experiences with like-minded individuals.

“Cycling is not just a hobby, it`s a lifestyle that brings joy, challenges, and a sense of community with fellow riders.”

He said it is also a safe way for some cyclists to enjoy the sport if they feel unsafe doing solo rides.

“I am excited about the ride because it is at the spruit and also because we are going with Linden Cycles. They are familiar with the terrain and know all the hard spots and what to look out for, so we are going to be safe,” said Ulfa de Koning, before his first cycle with the group.
