Robotics meets mathematics at Northwest Christian School

The Grade 7 class calculated how they would have fun while learning through robotics.

Recently, in a Stem exercise for robotics, the Grade 7 class at Northwest Christian School designed and coded a robot that could tally votes using a colour sensor.

This robot was then used in their mathematics lesson to do a survey on the classes favourite crisps flavour.

The robot generated a bar graph to show these results. According to the school, through this hands-on activity, learners are said to gain valuable skills in graphing, data analysis and interpretation.

All this, while still having fun with the concept of using technology, to make sense of real-world information.
