Police launch murder investigation after man’s body found in Victory Park
Local security secured the scene after a man's body wrapped in cloth was discovered at a local park.
Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was found at a park in Victory Park on September 17.
Private security company Vision Tactical first attended the scene, securing the area until local authorities arrived. The body was reportedly found wrapped in cloth, and, according to Colonel Mpho Tshehlane, the deceased had visible injuries. “The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this stage pending investigations,” she said.

Police have appealed to members of the community who may have information about the incident, or anything that could assist with the investigation, to come forward.
Information can be reported to the nearest police station or through the Crime Stop number 08600 10111.
Community members can also submit anonymous tip-offs through the MySAPS app.
The investigation is ongoing.
