With regard to the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) 40-day campaign I appeal to all Melville and Greenside (Ward 87) residents to send me all the issues on the block they live and work in. This can include potholes, broken/missing storm water drain covers, damaged/dangerous pavements, blocked storm water drains and missing manhole covers.
I have managed to secure some of the remaining JRA budget for 2012/2013 for issues in my ward and JRA has committed to spending 40 days in my ward from 1 July fixing these problems.
We need to take advantage of this opportunity, as they don’t come around often.
Residents and businesses must please report the issues in the following manner: nature of problem, exact location (street name and number/nearest intersection) and if they have reported it, provide me with the reference number(s).
