The Auckland Park Academy of Excellence (Apax) in association with the Associated Muslim Schools hosted the second annual interschool cross-country event at Delta Park.

The races were held over two days with the boys competing on 13 March and the girls on 15 March.
Fazela Amod, Apax’s senior administrator, said there were three divisions, the U11, U13 and U15 teams. These teams ran 1km, 3km and 5km across one of Joburg’s biggest parks respectively.

Apax boys took home the U11 and U13 trophies with Nizamiye School winning the U15 race.
