Northcliff’s Don of hip-hop releases a new EP

NORTHCLIFF – Don Dada releases his second big music offering for the year.

Northcliff’s Menelik Nesta Gibbons, popularly known as Don Dada, has released yet another musical offering for the year.

Dada’s EP, House of Stone, comes only a few months after releasing his successful debut album, Avant Garde.

This time, his offering includes producers and artists such as Herbert Qwela Schwamborn who goes by the stage name Metaphysics, Herby Dangerous and Seed_Under.

Producer and artist, Metaphysics, produced and features on Dada’s Too Much Sauce song.

Master Khanyi and Thato Tipsy T were also involved in the production of the album. In addition to involving guest producers, Dada collaborated with ZiFM radio host Herby Dangerous who gives the album a unique reggae flavour.

Seed_Under, who has worked closely with Dada over the last year, features on more than a few of his songs on House of Stone. Her presence is not uncommon in Dada’s work as she featured on Avant Guard as well as Dada’s single and official 2017 Nelson Mandela Day song.

Dada is on his way to becoming a big name in the South African music scene and has also tapped into broadcast media when he started a hip-hop segment on 1912OnlineRadio.

The segment is aptly named Dada Friday and was successfully launched on 1 September.

The show is all about hip-hop culture and is used as a platform where young hip-hop artists can have conversations about the culture and also showcase their talent. The show is live every Friday from 6pm to 8pm.
