Reflective vests to aid Linden victim suppprt
MELVILLE – Jack’s Paint Melville donated branded reflective jackets to the Linden CPF on 25 May.
Jack’s Paint Melville generously came to the aid of the Linden CPF’s Victim Support Unit after donating branded reflective jackets to them on 25 May.

“It is really great to be a part of our community, and it was a really great opportunity to help where there is a need,” said Jack’s Paint Melville’s Lorraine Cox.
In an article published in the Randburg Sun in March, the unit appealed to the public and businesses to support their efforts by donating reflective jackets.

The store specially made the reflective jackets in a variety of sizes with the branding of the Victim Support Unit and Jack’s Paint and also donated flashlights for the unit to use when visiting a crime scene at night.
“We are absolutely thrilled. These reflective vests are much appreciated,” said the Linden Police Station Victim Support Centre’s Di Constable.

She added that first responders are very important at crime scenes as they ensure that the victim knows they are cared for. “The reflective jackets will help us to be easily identified as a victim support member and a first responder when attending to the scene of a crime,” concluded Constable.
