Festive Christmas vibes at Shepstone Place

The funds raised are utilised at the Home for renovations and repairs and Shepstone Place

A festive Christmas atmosphere was in the air at Shepstone Place Home for the Aged on Saturday evening when a sumptuous Christmas in July supper was hosted. Locals and visitors supported this fundraising initiative and R15 000 was raised on the night from donations, tickets sales as well as raffles.

The funds raised are utilised at the Home for renovations and repairs and Shepstone Place committee and residents are appreciative of the support received.

“We want to thank everyone that supported the Home because of them we are able to make advances at the Home and for our residents,” commented Chairlady Sheryl Lane. The Estcourt Lions Club donated R5 000, a sheep donated by Rupert Driemeyer was raffled and won by Vaughn Ric-Hansen who donated it to Shepstone Place and a two-night mid-week stay at Champagne Sports Resort donated by Mr and Mrs Richmond was won by Roy Ramkasoon.
