The Forderville Primary School Hall was abuzz with activity on Sunday as locals streamed in to donate a pint of life-saving blood.
Blood donors were welcomed by the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (Estcourt Sai Centre) members as well as staff from the South African National Blood Service.

Before donating a pint of blood, potential donors are required to weigh themselves, one must weigh more than 50 kilograms, complete a lifestyle questionnaire and have your iron level and blood pressure tested.

If all of these requirements are in order, you may settle down and donate a pint of blood, which helps save up to seven lives. 39 donors attended and 31 pints of blood were donated on Sunday.
