Tigers roar to victory in under 13 Build It football tournament

Tournament ends in nail-biting penalty shoot-out

The Tigers of Glencoe pipped Dundee Stocks in a penalty shoot-out to clinch the inaugural Dundee Build It under 13 football tournament played at the Oval on Saturday.

Teams from around the area competed.  With many not even wearing boots, it was an eye opener for special guests, former Bafana Afcon winning coach, Clive Barker, and , Prince Nhlanganiso Zulu (who himself played for Clive in the all-winning AmaZulu side of the early 1990s).

This was the first Dundee Build It under 13 competition football tournament although the company hosts about 200 similar tournaments annually the country, said Rob Lister, Build It divisional  marketing director.

The Tigers will now compete in Richards Bay against the winners of the other tournaments in the Zululand Build It region.
