Aiden Powers to demonstrate his astonishing abilities

Riaan Loubser, aka Aiden Powers, has two passions in life, education and entertainment.
It is the latter that brings him to Newcastle on October 19, when he will demonstrate his skills as a hypnotist using volunteers from the audience.
Riaan showed an interest in the performing arts at a young age and has since performed as a guest speaker, master of ceremonies and an accomplished magician.
His list of stage accomplishments include:
– Numerous radio and television appearances,
– Corporate shows including magic, mind-reading, and hypnosis,
– Acting as Master of Ceremonies in South Africa, Swaziland and the Seychelles,
– Having had a six-week sell out season at the Victorian Theatre in Johannesburg for 3 consecutive years with his show, ‘Mysteries of the Mind’, which was the longest running one man show in one venue in Johannesburg,
– Directing his first show, ‘Gee my oor aan die nag’, which was written by Liz Meiring and Natascha C and premiered at the 2012 Innibos Arts Festival. This show is currently touring South Africa.
Riaan’s successes, however, does not end there. In the field of education, he was the youngest Dean of Academics to be appointed at Damelin in 2003, and was the co-owner and principal at the Nelspruit Damelin from 2005 to 2012.
He is currently the co-owner and principal at Unigrad, a private education institution in Nelspruit.
While he actively raised fund for charities, including the SPCA, ProLife Pet Rescue, Reach for a Dream, his main charity of choice is CANSA.
Next weekend, Riaan will be hosted by the Lions Club at the Drakensberg School Hall to raise funds towards treatment for leukaemia patient, Jos van der Linde.
