Fancy being stabbed by a victorious Zulu warrior?  Well, here’s your shot at fame.  The Dundee Die Hard historical re-enactment team of Red Coats are in urgent need of volunteers to take part in next week’s staging of the battle of Isandlwana.

“We can offer you a red coat, a rifle, a helmet, President Zuma as a spectator, lots of excitement and probably coverage on national and international news channels,” said Die Hard team leader, Gavin Slater.

This year marks the 135th anniversary of the famous battle of 1879 which saw the mighty British army crumble in defeat in the face of the marauding Zulus who used the classic bull of the horns formation to annihilate over 100o imperial and colonial troops.

The Dundee Die Hards were formed in 1999 to mark the anniversary of the Anglo Boer War and were named after the UK re-enactment team of the same name who came out to Dundee in take part in the 120th anniversary re-enactment of the battle.
