Miss SA reigns from Volksrust
Hailing from the small Mpumalanga town of Volksrust, the beautiful, radiant and talented Rolene Strauss was crowned as Miss South Africa 2014.

Hailing from the small Mpumalanga town of Volksrust, the beautiful, radiant and talented Miss South Africa 2014, Rolene Strauss. was crowned as Miss South Africa 2014.
On March 30, the final round of Miss SA took place at Sun City Superbowl. With great anticipation, five South African beauties awaited the announcement to mark the end of a journey that would change their lives forever.
Rolene made her mark very early in life. In 2010 she was Head Girl of Volksrust High School. She took part in most of the activities at school and showed promising potential in sport, academics, culture and leadership.
As a matriculant, Rolene obtained seven distinctions, with an average of 91,2 per cent and was one of the Top 5 achievers in the Gert Sibande region. This was the stepping stone to her medical career she is pursuing at the University of the Free State.
At school, Rolene also excelled in sport. She was the first pupil in the school to play in both hockey and netball first teams, and travelled to New Zealand for netball.
Teachers and pupils from Volksrust High School are very proud of Rolene and her achievements.
Rolene surely proves that from humble beginnings, her future surely will be spectacular indeed.
