IFP: Shocked with Patient transport by vans
IFP in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday has express shock over the ambulance issues in Escourt and Mnambithi where people are more suffering and being transported with Vans, said IFP Spokesperson on Health, Mrs Ncamisile Nkwanyana MPL.
It is very shocking that the vulnerable and poor people who depends on the government be treated like.
She said, “We are very amazed that the MEC of Health Dr Sbongiseni Dlomo has always jumping out hailing throughout saying that the department have done all and that everything within the Province is settled,” she said.
Nkwanyana further said, “But today as the IFP we are questioning Dlomo what is happening in Escourt and Mnambithi? How come the patience are transported with Vans? This speaks the opposite of what the MEC of Health is out preaching in this province,” she said.
In addition she said, “Out of the 13 Ambulance only one is working. We also calls on the department to be inspected together with the company that been hired to fix this ambulance. Also we demand that the department of Health should hand over more ambulance throughout the provincial hospitals,” she added.
