Vryheid High School – Saving the best for last

ON WEDNESDAY, June 4, VHS played our last winter sport games against Pongola.
Only six matches were played. VHS won three and Pongola won three – a very even result, all in all.
Results:

• Netball: u/15A 18-20 and first 23-15.
• Rugby: u/15A 0-12 and first 26-7.
• Girls’ Hockey: u/16A 1-1 and first 1-2.

Well played boys!

Our first team boys’ hockey team participated in the Felixton Boys Hockey Festival this weekend.
It seems the boys kept their best hockey for their last games as they played excellent hockey, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators.
We brought back the trophy for the first time, as we won the tournament.
We want to thank Ivan Schwegman for coaching our team and maintaining the highest standard of hockey in Northern Natal for seven years running. Thank you! Well played boys!

The June examinations begin on Tuesday, June 10. We trust learners will realize the importance of these exams and put in their best efforts to prepare well for every paper.
