SANDF tank back on the road again after Van Reenen crash
The tank was removed late this afternoon by the SANDF
The SANDF 65-ton Olifant main battle tank that was involved in a crash on Friday night on Van Reenen’s Pass has been removed and the N3 northbound lane has been cleared for motorists, says N3 Toll Concession (N3TC). The tank was removed late on Saturday afternoon by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
An SANDF recovery team, together with the help of a private breakdown service, got the tank back on its wheels again and onto a truck to be taken to its destination.
