Elderly woman found dead: Family still searching for answers

The family of the 62-year-old woman found dead on the R103 on Friday night are still searching for answers after what they describe as a bizarre incident that took away their mother.

In the aftermath, it has been alleged that she might have been trying to cross the road near her house and was hit by a vehicle.

The elderly woman had gone to get her pension money in Ladysmith, with which she planned to buy groceries for her grandchildren back at home. What puzzles the family is that no money or groceries were found near the body.

No arrests have yet been made.
